Marketing Quick Tip :: What would you do if your computer crashed?

Hey everyone, Kirk here with an important reminder and Marketing Quick Tip.

Yes, I posted on this before, but if you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen me posting about my computer crashing and dying!

Apart from me sending my hard drive to a specialist, I have totally lost all the data on it, period.  I don’t know if you’ve look into a data recovery center and how much they cost, but you’re talking about $1,000 – 2,000 just for them to look at it.

Luckily, this was only my back up computer and nothing important was lost, but imagine that you have just completed your big project and you head off to bed. Satisfied after hours of hard work, but when you go to your computer to send it off all you hear is the loud click of a broken hard drive; now what?

Ever year, 43% of computer users lose irreplaceable emails, documents, photos and other files.

I recommend a great product that is so affordable and easy to use, that you would be foolish not to use it. Here is how it works:

Well, 2009 is almost 25% gone already!  How is your business doing so far?  Are you Thriving or Barely Surviving?

1. Surround your self with success! Find a Mastermind of people who are successfully doing what you want to do and join them.
2. Do a SWOT Analysis. Take a couple hours and evaluate your businesses Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.  Once you have completed a SWOT Analysis ~ build a Blue Print for Success.
3. Get some Coaching! Everyone needs a coach and most successful business men and women have them and use them often.  Coaches offer a new perspective and often the positive encouragement you need do the things that create success.
4. Be Positive! Yes, this is a tough economy, but you are able to be successful in any situation, despite the economy.  Don’t let negative people hold you back.  Set a goal and accomplish it.

As much as I love GotoMeeting for webinars and online meetings, I have to tell you about a Webinar Service called DimDim that my friend Andy Traub introduced me to recently.  This is a powerful web based tool that doesn’t require attendees to download anything!

With DimDim, you get the features you get with GotoMeeting without the high price tag.  You can share your screen, a white board, and multiple pre-determined websites.  You’ll have the ability to record your webinar, participate in interactive chat, video conferencing, and audio only options with the call number they provide ~ and this tool is totally free for up to 20 guests.  Now, if you want go premium, you can have up to 100 participants for less than $5 a month.

I have tested this and love it.  I haven’t tried the quality with lots of participants, but with a few it works great with a high speed connection.
